“Josephine was such a pleasure to work with and her and the whole team made this a wonderful experience. My fiancee and I went to JJ to choreograph a First Dance routine for our wedding and were a little worried at first as neither of us can really dance but Josephine made us instantly feel at ease and put together a great routine for us. We really enjoyed our experience and are now even planning to go back after the wedding to carry on lessons! Thank you guys for a great experience and would recommend to anyone who asks! “

“Dear Josephine, Thank you for your well wishes! I also wanted to show you some really beautiful photos of our dance taken by our photographer. We just received them. We will certainly like to come back for more classes when we can work around our schedules!

The Waltz

In German, “walzen” stands for rolling, for gliding, for swaying. In dancing the Waltz stand for all that and one thing more – flying. Come with us on a journey where you will learn what it truly means to spread your “Wings”, to Box Step, to Chasse, to Tumble Turn, to Telemark and then promptly forget all of it as you proceed to just do it.

The Waltz is a classic, and for good reason. It is the simplest dance to learn, and perhaps the hardest to truly master, yet all those who learn it shine at any level of competence because in the Waltz, as you will promptly learn, size has little to do with height. No other dance brings all of its movements together in a single statement of poise and grace to calmly assert: “I am here.” If there is a single dance that you simply must learn, then it is the Waltz. Popular and timeless as it is, you are bound to be able to showcase your skills anywhere from weddings to corporate events.

The Quickstep

The most lighthearted of the Standard Ballroom dances, the Quickstep is equally suitable for both formal and informal events. Though the music that Quickstep is danced to is fast paced, it requires no less elegance than any of the other Ballroom dances. This should not intimidate you however, as the spirit of the energetic music carries most anyone away into steps they never imagined they could do so quickly and smoothly.

So come, join us in learning both the basics such as the Natural Turn and the Progressive Chasse, and the more advanced moves such as the Cross Swivel and the V6. We have something for everyone and the expertise to teach all of it, as you can see from the biographies of our instructors.

The Foxtrot

Foxtrot is a dance of both fast and slow rhythmic steps. It often requires the dancer to make long, continuous and graceful movements to the beat of music that ranges from frantically fast to tensely slow. Because of this, Foxtrot is exquisitely versatile, accommodating for both the character of the tune and the dancer.
