Come with us on a journey where you will learn what it truly means to spread your “Wings”, to Box Step, to Chasse, to Tumble Turn, to Telemark and then promptly forget all of it as you proceed to just do it.

The Paso Doble is a dance modeled after bullfighting that is also accompanied by bullfighting music. The lead in this couples dance plays the role of the matador, while the follow represents either his cape or his shadow. Due to the nature of the music it is danced to (with its distinct highlights which the dance follows), the Paso Doble is almost always choreographed in advance. Despite its limited capacity as a social dance it is still danced as such in certain countries. This should not turn you away though, as the Paso Doble is arguably the most imposing and expressive dance in Latin Ballroom, more than making up for its lack of flexibility in stage presence.
Come join us in the raw expression of energy that is the Paso Doble and learn everything from the basics such as the Lady’s Caping Walk and the Attack all the way up to the more advanced moves such as the Coup de Pique and the Fregolina. Unique amongst the other Latin Barroom dances due to its Brazilian origin the samba is instantly recognizable. With its distinctive downward bouncing action with no noticeable bobbing (danced in both a 2/4 and a 4/4 beat) and hip motions that completely differ from the Rumba and the Cha-Cha the Samba is a marvel to behold. If you aim to dance to impress this just might be the perfect dance for you. And to top it all off, the Samba is not a one-trick pony either. In addition to samba music it can be danced to Zouk, Flamenco and other Southern American music.

The name of this dance was originally used in Cuba to denote any party, and later all secular styles of Cuban music. Today it mostly refers to the modern style of Latin Ballroom dance, at times using the alternative spelling “Rhumba”. Though the word Rumba has come to denote much less the ways in which rumba can be danced seem to be ever expanding. The Rumba is danced in two recognized styles around the world – the American and the International – both competitively and socially, but it goes far beyond that. The Rumba is as versatile as the dancer, becoming as complex or as simple as is necessary when danced to its famous slow-quick-quick (quick-quick-slow) beat. This makes learning the Rumba satisfying for the inexperience and experienced alike.

This energetic dance of Cuban origin can be danced to anything from authentic Cuban music to Latin Pop or Rock. Its name is onomatopoeia for the shuffling of dancer’s feet and some say for the sighs of onlookers. It is one of the few dances that does not start on the first beat of a bar and can be difficult to get accustomed to, but once a dancer does there is no end to what can be done with the Cha-Cha.
Come join us to learn everything from the basics such as the Three Cha-Cha-Chas and the Sport Turn all the way up to the more complicated moves such as Spiral Turns and the Sliding Doors.
